We’ve got some special things going on at this time of year, and we’d love to see you at any or all of them
Children’s Nativity – Sunday 17th December 10am
Our children and young people will be performing Bethlehem – the Musical – a special nativity play to get us into the Christmas mood. After the performance, we will sing some carols and pray together, and finish with a mince pie to go with our coffee or tea.
This is our second attempt – last week we were snowed in!
Our traditional carol service, led by the choir and followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
Blue Christmas Thursday December 21st 6.30pm
New this year – something for people who find Christmas hard. On the longest night of the year, we will gather for a short, reflective service of music, readings and an opportunity to remember loved ones. The church has always commemorated St Thomas on this day – famous for his doubting, but also associated with depression.
If Christmas is a bittersweet time for you, come without any strings attached.
Join us by the Christmas tree for half an hour of carol singing. If the weather is really atrocious, we’ll take shelter in church!
The children assemble the crib, and Mary and Joseph will arrive, after journeying around the parish all December.
Come and usher in Christmas Day with us, as we meet around the Lord’s Table and Midnight approaches.
All are welcome to a family celebration. If you’ve already unwrapped your presents, bring one to show and to say thank you for.
